Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These terms govern your use of the RedThread iPad TestFlight beta. They are written to be readable, not to obscure anything.
The product
RedThread is a local-first canon workspace for creative writers and worldbuilders. During the current phase, access is distributed through Apple's TestFlight beta program for iPad.
TestFlight beta access
Beta builds may change, expire, or become temporarily unavailable while the app is being tested. TestFlight access does not promise a paid license, App Store availability, or a final release date.
Your data
RedThread is designed around local device storage. You are responsible for backing up your creative work, especially while using beta software. Do not delete the app or reinstall the beta unless you are comfortable with the risk to local data.
Feedback
If you send feedback, crash notes, screenshots, or suggestions, you allow us to use that feedback to improve RedThread. You keep ownership of your creative work and story material.
No warranty
RedThread beta builds are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer makes no warranties — express or implied — regarding fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or error-free performance. Creative work is your responsibility; back up your files.
Limitation of liability
The developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the beta application, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of creative work.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Switzerland have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these terms.
Changes
These terms may be updated over time. Material changes will be noted in the changelog once public release notes begin. Continued use of the software after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
