RedThread is a local-first iPad beta distributed through TestFlight. We have no interest in your data — your stories stay on your device. This policy describes the very limited information we do handle.
What data RedThread collects
RedThread is a local-first application. All story data — characters, timelines, world notes, and every other piece of your creative work — is stored locally on your own device. This file never leaves your device unless you explicitly copy or move it yourself.
The marketing website (red-thread.pro) itself does not collect personal data, run analytics scripts, or set tracking cookies. There is no account system, no login, and no cloud storage.
Beta access
RedThread is currently distributed through Apple's TestFlight beta program. If you join through TestFlight, Apple may process information required to deliver and operate the beta under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. RedThread itself does not receive your full Apple account details from TestFlight.
Support contact
If you write to support@red-thread.pro, your email and its contents are read in order to help you. These messages are not shared with third parties and are deleted when the issue is resolved.
Cookies
The red-thread.pro website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. No third-party analytics services (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.) are loaded. The site may set a strictly necessary session cookie if your browser requires it for navigation — no consent is needed for these.
Your rights (Swiss nDSG and GDPR)
Under Swiss data protection law (nDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Because we hold very little through the website itself, such requests are typically simple to handle.

Data transfers
RedThread is developed in Switzerland. If you use TestFlight, Apple may process beta-distribution data in other jurisdictions under its own policies. No story data or application data is transferred to RedThread servers — it lives on your device.
Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy changes materially, we will update the date shown above and note the change in the changelog. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
